亀戸花街

亀戸が花街として発展したのは、寛政年間からであるが、当時江戸随一と言われた深川花街から、水野忠邦による天保の改革によって、亀戸にきて芸妓渡世をしたものが少なくなかったことが、この地に花街を形成させたそもそもの始めであった。その後、天満宮に参詣する幾多の人士を相手にするようになり、急激な発展を示した。＊1
